Safari itinerary:

Arrive Kilimanjaro Airport and we’ll transfer you to Springlands Hotel/ Alternative Hotel in Moshi where you will overnight in preparation for your Safari the next day.

Day 1: Drive from Springlands Hotel Moshi to Tarangire National Park, lunch en-route. Afternoon game drives in Tarangire. This is a beautiful park filled with baobabs and acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. All the animals enjoy the water coming from the Tarangire River. The animals are best viewed during the dry season, including elephant herds, elands, orynx, lesser kudo, leopards, lions, and cheetah. The birdlife is varied and plentiful. You can also see the very rare Roam Antelope in this park. Overnight at the High view Hotel – full board. 10835064_764813146931925_206103473392715929_oDay 2: The drive from Moshi to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 4 hours. After having a picnic lunch in Manyara, you start a late afternoon game drive, which is the best time to view animals in this park. When you approach it from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment looms on the horizon forming an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the ground water forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, and on the escarpment, elephants stand in the shade. Other animals frequently seen are zebras, impalas, monkeys, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and others. Overnight at the High view Hotel – full board.

Day 3: The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge is an archaeological site located in the eastern Serengeti plains, in which early human fossils were first discovered. It has an amazing landscape that resulted from the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. Then in the late evening, drive to and overnight at the Serengeti Wild Camp or Ikoma Wild Camp and Cottages – full board. FB

IMG_3619Day 4: Early in the Morning you can do Balloon Safari and after breakfast, venture into the Serengeti’s wilderness corners for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch beside you, take your leisure while exploring this world heritage site, where earth’s largest concentration of plain game still roams free! In the late evening, go to the Serengeti Wildebeest Camp or Serengeti Wild Camp for rest, dinner, and overnight. Full Board. (FB).

This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino as well as prides of lion that include the magnificent black-manned males. There are lots of colorful flamingoes and a variety of water birds. Other game that you can see includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, other members of the antelope family, and small mammals. In the late afternoon drive to Highview Hotel for Dinner and overnight. FB

Cheetah 1Day 6: The drive from the High view Hotel to Arusha National Park takes two hours. This park is small but varied with spectacular landscapes; The Park has a rich variety of wildlife including giraffe, buffalo, zebra, warthog, the only place on the northern safari circuit where the acrobatic black-and-white colobus monkey is easily seen, the blue monkey, flamingos and more. African elephants and leopards are present, but rarely seen. Arrival at Maasai Lodge in the late afternoon, rest and relaxation at the lodge. We have a swimming pool, healing chamber and spa where the guests can relax and unwind. Dinner and overnight at Maasai Lodge Full board basis.

Day 7: Early morning wake up call with coffee and biscuits to catch the breathtaking sunrise. You will depart the lodge to visit a Maasai Boma in order to immerse yourself into the traditional Maasai Lifestyle. Not only you will experience the beauty of Tanzania natural surroundings, you will learn about the daily tasks and responsibilities of Maasai men and women to get an in-depth understanding of their traditions and customs. You will return to the lodge for brunch and experience further Maasai activities in the afternoon such as Spear throwing competition against the Maasai and a guided nature walk with a Maasai guide where you learn about the different herbs and medicinal plants still used by Maasai people as well as more traditions and culture of the Maasai. Return to the lodge in the evening to prepare for a festive Maasai dinner where Maasai Men will grill a goat on the fireplace while the women prepare the side dishes. You will get a chance to chat with the Maasai and ask any questions about their lifestyle and culture. After Dinner the festivities traditionally continue well into the morning hours. We also can suggest the Special Maasai Day for those who wish to have a hand on experience of the Maasai traditions and culture.

You will be wake up early in the morning to be dressed like a maasai, go for goat and cow milking experience in one of the maasai settlement near to the lodge. 
After a late brunch men will collect healing plants, slaughter a goat and prepare the goat on the fireplace. Women look for firewood, repair maasai houses
and experience the challenges of the life of maasai. Finish the evening with a special goat fire celebration and dances. During the whole day you will be accompanied by one of our maasai guide who will explain you the deeper meaning of maasai life.
