The ZARA Marathon was held in the Karatu area of Ngorongoro on April 10th, 2010. Like last year, many national and international runners took part in the race which has the aim to raise awareness about malaria, which affects between 300 and 500 million people every year, over 90% of whom live in Africa. Malaria kills over one million men, women and children every year. In Tanzania one person dies of malaria every 10 minutes.

This year, ZARA Charity was sponsor of the Kids Run, which was arranged for the first time. The picture shows Zainab Ansell of ZARA congratulating the female winner of the run. See more pictures here.
